Is this Amanita Pantherina?

The caps are covered in dirt, and it was dark outside, so the picks lack a great bit of detail.

Location - Houston Area
Habitat - growing from dirt with grass and pine needles

The caps are golden with white hairy warts. I washed them under water and used my fingers to try to remove dirt but the white growths from the cap surfaces came off as well, so I'm not sure a clean picture will help identify them any easier, but I will upload a few more pics if necessary for a positive ID. I'm getting prints as we speak. Will upload first thing in the morning.



After washing and drying of the caps the wart like growth are much darker than the whit they were when picked. Here are both caps cleaned, each sitting next to the spore prints they left.

Amanita pantherina - yes, this is a small specimen that I have seen become more common during periods of unpredictable rainfall.

Await a Trusted Identifier for a secondary confirmation.
