so if im understanding this correctly....

the guy found a cow patty and flicked some spores from a cap onto it, then brought it indoors to become horribly infected since cows are supposed to eat the spores themselves and that's what makes it grow from their poop


op please listen to the advice here you CANNOT eat those!


either pick them off a fresh cowpie or take a spore print to start an actual grow. fairly confident you cant just flick spores onto shit and not expect to get extremely sick from that...


even if you transfer those shrooms they look infected as fuck and that wont be a sterile condition one bit

edit: if you throw that poop outside into some grass or something that might give it a chance to clear up the contamination but i reaaally would not count on that at all

It's gotta be a troll post. I pm'd him offering help and telling him to toss that pooptart in the toaster. He never got back with me so I must assume either A, he doesn't want help, B Op died (unlikely) or C,D,E the whole thing is ribbed for his pleasure and the jokes on us.

I'm going with the latter. Seriously OP there are plenty of ppl willing to help you if you do a little research and just ask!

If you have access to spores then why not clean them on agar and take a shot at a legitimate grow? Not being negative towards ya but there are better and more successful methods of growing cubes vs shit on shelf tek.

Wouldn't it be feasible to make an out door grow from a pile of fruiting cow pie? Throw it in a hole in your back yard with some substrate?
  I wouldn't use that infected Patty.  Find another one and don't bring it in the house (you kinda have it coming, bringing that in the house and watering it tho. You will risk infecting your future grows putting bad spores in your environment).

Coming in and asking questions about something that looks like this shows us that you didn't take any time to try and find answers yourself first. Clearly this "grow" runs contrary to any advice or tek you'd find here, and for good reason.

I wish you the best of luck, hay isn't a great sub for cubes imo. Also, if you start with a bacterial source, you're going to end up with more bacteria even if it is successful at colonizing the hay. Rather than trying any attempt at salvaging that I'd read some teks here. There are some very easy ones, grab yourself a print or spore syringe from the marketplace or a trusted vendor and start from there.

Frankly I'm impressed that you got as far as you did using the method you described, unfortunately it appears that you're at the end of that experiment now. :cheers:
