Mentioned Growing Mushrooms

Hello,

I started growing mushrooms (psychoactive) in Florida and have a small greenhouse in my closet, I live with my parents and my mother walked in while I was pressure cooking some jars and I told her I was growing gourmet mushrooms and she has since told one of our family friends. I have also told some of my very close friends I’m growing mushrooms and although I trust them I do not trust them to not blab to others. I did plan on actually on growing gourmet mushrooms as well as a cover up for my family, but after further thought I am becoming paranoid about this whole situation.

What should I do to fix this situation so I do not have to be worried about word getting out south me, as well what are any specific legal consequences that could come out of being caught growing.

Sorry man, you can't un-tell someone something. 

You trust your friend, but you don't trust them not to tell other people...?  What do you trust them with?  Sounds like a person you cannot trust...

All other things aside, my advice would be to act super bummed the next time it comes up in conversation and tell them you fucked it up and wasted a lot of money and you're done with it.  Then NEVER talk about it again.          With anyone.

Sounds sketchy and like you need to get on growing some oysters quick... as for your magic it’s going to be tuff to hide at this point... parents may get curious and want to see the mushrooms growing which could be very problematic if everything is in the same place. ... my recommendation is that you grow edibles in the obvious spot, grow magic in hidden spot if possible, tell friends some bs story about how you got edible spores instead of magic and play stupid. Legal troubles would not be good at all because you are manufacturing and they would probably think for intent to sell.

Not a bad idea, but growing gourmet mushrooms won't help make it ok to grow actives.

It's kind of a douchebag move to grow illegal mushrooms in your parents house, it would be smart to move out and get your own place if you plan to continue.

Especially since you told your friends, the police could raid, and it's not fair to expose your parents to police raids.  If you want to expose yourself to police raids, that's your business.

The police could take your parents house if they find the grow, which also wouldn't be fair to your parents. 

First rule of growing is "tell no one".

Yea never tell anyone even your friends. You would be surprised how many friends will turn on you if it suits their interest. Especially in the drug game. All I takes is them getting caught with something semi big and the cops say " give us someone else bigger to take your spot" and before you know it your doors kicked in and your face down on the rug with your hands behind your back.
Ps. Don't use or grow drugs at your parents house you could fuck up EVERTHING they worked so hard to build with drug bullshit.

OP: If you have two brain cells to rub together, you should realize two things:

1) You now grow gourmet mushrooms

2) Exclusively.

Toss your psychedelic grow, start growing oysters. After a few months to a year, you can get bored, quit growing altogether for another few months to a year, and only then should you ever consider growing actives again. Once everyone knows you got bored and quit.

Anything less is, frankly, stupid. Especially at your parent's house.

My parents found out. I don't live with them, but after a few drinks and while on the phone with my mom, I got excited to share my new hobby of "growing gourmet mushrooms". Two days later, she called back, and asked if what I was doing was related to "micro-dosing" (bless her heart). She called my bluff because I never eat gourmet mushrooms on my own volition, why on earth would I grow them? Everyone's parents are different obviously, but now my parents now know, and in the words of my mother, "I'm not disappointed, I just don't want you to get in trouble. Why not grow chives or something?" Talking with her made me realize how foolish I was being in sharing what I was doing with my friends - it's just hard when you have a giant mouth when you drink. Definitely don't grow in your parents house, consider letting them know what you were doing and apologizing (if they aren't the type to kick you out the door for it), and learn from the experience. I'm still learning to keep my mouth shut.
