This was a result of a bad Pse Amazonian syringe I got. Couldn't get any myc to work with.

The lower one, I assume you mean? Could be, but I had a look just now at penicillin mould on agar and it looks typically less rough and with more white at the margin? Idk shit about penicillin mould though 😂

I read Pasty say that Penicillin spores are so small they can pass right through filter disks and was having probs until he kept all his grain jars in empty tubs as still air boxes to reduce the spore load on the filter discs. Spooked me when I read that and have always kept my grain jars in empty tubs ever since. Not sure if my sterile technique improved at the same time but I have seen less contaminated jars since the change

What in the hell happened here?! I haven't seen anyone post about green grains that wasn't trich. Opened it submerged in bleach water (as i do with all my contam'd jars) and tossed it.

The Edible Poipinni battling some sort of mold, in a set aside jar.  The mold appeared first and was bright green yellow, maybe a trich but I have little expertise in that area, especially since I’m used to getting Penicilium.  The mold certainly came from a syringe and good mycelium is being grown out on agar.

It caught my eye when not only did the mold spore color die off but the mycelium started to envelop it!  Here you can see I tried to get a few up close shots but it was short notice and hand held.  The mold appears to have shed in small filaments.

The bottom left image is the lower and to the right section of the area above it but 18 days later.  The mycelium covered and formed a thick layer over the mold.  What’s interesting is the LINE OF DEATH, or dark brown line that seems to delineate fresh mycelium and the battle zone.
