Why do people honk at construction workers? * 1

This happens multiple times a day while I'm at work, we don't really close down lanes much, we do most of work on the shoulder, often times on the other side of the concrete barricade so it's not like we might step out into traffic and they're trying to warn us. We're not causing traffic delays or anything so it's not like they're pissed off either.

Do you ever do this? Really hoping someone here is in a habit of doing it and can tell me what the reasoning behind it is.

I really wish people would stop doing it. I've become desensitized to it so now when that one time I really needed someone to honk at me I'm not even going to be paying attention to it.

I've always assumed people do it alot of the time out of respect, either they themselves are on that line of work or someone in their family is. Construction can be tough hard work, some of those guys earn my respect. Working 12 hour days in the hot sun isn't for everyone but somebody has to do it...

That is dangerous to be out in. People like you have to make completely sure you stay well hydrated. I work nuclear construction and we've had some very hot days as well in SE Ga, it's not uncommon to hear of workers having heat strokes. Alot of these guys go home and pound alcohol instead of H20. They pay for it the next day too.

I drink water all day. I don't piss either.. not cuz I'm holding it, I just sweat it all out too fast. I drink as much as I can. The first day I got in this crew I think I was getting close to heat stroke. I'd been trying not to throw up most of the day. Started getting pretty weak and light headed.

If you’re not pissing you should drink more. Not good for your kidneys to be so dehydrated you aren’t producing urine

Can only drink so much. Too much and I get sick, aside from all the time I'd be walking back and forth to the truck.

I only drink fresh water when I down kratom 6-7 times a day, the rest of the time I drink snake juice mixed 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp potassium chloide, and I havnt yet but plan on adding 1/2 tsp baking soda, I add this to a 710ml water bottle


I am afraid of drinking so much fresh water and pissing out all my electrolytes

I always pictured nice summers around 70-80 degrees max for where you live watermelon mon. Down here in GA, and where Shroomslip lives it's the friggin high humidity on top of high temps thats so dangerous. It's like a blanket of unbreathable wet heat over your mouth and skin.

I was out for 30 mins in dirrect sunlight taking to a friend last Monday and I got too heated without realizing it. When I came back inside and the cool air from the a/c hit me I got extremely weak and lightheaded, heart was pounding and I became very nauseas. Finally after ploping down on the bed under the fan I began to feel better. I make sure that I'm near a body of water if I plan to be out for long during the summer days.

Yes it's not very hot outside only 88 F today

I'm in a cannabis greenhouse for the government , we work 7 to 6 days a week it gets close to 130 F by lunch

I deliver pizza too but I had to call in today and I think I'm done delivering pizza

6:00 am to 11:30 pm of work was ok when it was cooler , not anymore it was about 17 hours of work in a day , mostly on the weekends

I'll also have more time to have a life

Wow! Those are long days! Tell them to go stuff their own crust and enjoy some extra relaxation time brov. I delivered pizza many years ago. I hated it, people wouldn't tip often and some people were just flat out rude. And I always got there as quick as possible.

Tomorrow i am picking up my friend we are driving to Niagra Falls for our day off

we work together in the greenhouse

going on a quest for some Indian food and to enjoy the falls , the park maybe a museum too

Going to drive back into the sunset

What a pity. For sure if your family is growing, you should build a bigger house. Not a lot of time ago, my family also made a home, and we encountered many problems, mainly due to finding the scaffolding. Some family friends recommended us a man, and his name is Pete, who has his website where he helps us with these issues. On petesuen.com are listed the best scaffolding services in more locations from the USA. They helped to save a lot of money and protected us from much damage.  To not meet you with this type of problem, I recommend you to use their services.
