I read the faqs but it does not address my questions, I want to know how often should one fan his chamber to initiate pining, and is 71F/98% rH humidity good enough ?

Once a day should be good enough. The more you fan the harder it is too keep the humidity up. Those specs seem good, raise the temp some after the pinning starts.

First off are you growing cakes or casings? Cakes will need higher humidity then casings, 95% is good for cakes and about 82-92% for casings, but i've heard casing will still grow at higher RH. I fan mine 3-4 times a day and dont' have any trouble keeping humidity up.

foaf is misting directly with an ultrasonic every 2 hours or so and fanning about 4 -6 times a day. replacing the moisture is no prob with an ultra sonic(5 bucks at your local thrift store)

i thought the FAQ advised to LOWER the temp to initiate pining.
is there a more detailed guide? should i "cold shock them"?
i'm kind of noob sorry
