Lophophoras are often hard to ID.
It´s such a popular cacti with expert growers who try to create their own cultivar styles with selective breeding.
Why you only want buy williamsii´s?
All Lophophora variety´s is very beautiful, i could not only have one kind.

You are not going to eat them are you?:eek::shocked:

I already have my collection of different kinds. Some I buy only to grow, and I want to extend my collection of “pet” cactus. I also think it is a great collectible item. I’m looking forward on identifying them properly. I bought some without knowing their kind, that’s why I don’t have many of the williamsii since I’m trying to have the different varieties of williamsii. Thanks to the help of people on this forum and my external resources I’m able to make a lot of progress. Thank you all so much!

It´s nothing wrong with harvesting the fruits of your labor and trying to meet mescalito
But personally i get so attached with a plant i have spent several years caring for that i really don´t want to kill it just for eating it.
But there are always a few williamsii´s that is starting to rot or get damaged by animals.
These ones i cut away the rot or bad areas and put in the freezer.
I probably have enough for an meeting with mescalito and i will do it when i feel the time is right.
Of the different Lophophoras it´s the "decipiens" variant that has the highest mescaline content.
Some variants has no mescaline at all.

Hi everyone,
Can you please help me get an ID for this one? I think this is the flower characteristics of williamsi but I’m not sure.
