california pan subb ID needed
    #2607187 - 04/27/04 05:46 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

these were found in the front yard under some mulberry trees....the yard is fertilized with manure...and is under constant shade and has high humidity...i'm not sure if pan subbs grow here, but they look damn close to what a pan subb looks like..

the spore print is jet black..
they smell mushroomy.
gills aren't really attatched to teh stem.

the colouration is a little off, but i think that is do to them being dry...it's been in the 90's here lately.

anyway here is what they look like.

oh, btw these were found in north central california...sacramento area to be exact

your help is apprecieted in advance

Those look exactly like the pan foens. I find in my yard in central florida. When I first saw about 200-300 of them I thought I was in subb heaven but, they turned out to be foens. :frown:
