Great write up.  I’ve invested in these machines and it makes for very consistent capsules.  Love them. 

I’d like to add that the gelatin based capsules seem superior.

I’ve found that the gelatin based capsules hit a lot faster than the vegetarian ones and are way better for redosing.  My tests involved using the same powder for both types.  Size O was the gelatin based and OO for the vegetarian.  In every case the gelatin capsules hit better and faster than their larger veggie counterparts. 

Anybody else notice this?  I think they may not store as long but I don’t have that data yet.

interesting.  no i cant say ive noticed any difference.  veggie capsules are softer and less brittle.  they seem to be easier to fill but as for the break down, i cant say.

Beef, I followed this and I can’t stop making caps, I feel it is such a great way to store and use them.  I did have a weird issue when I filled a jar with caps and vacuumed the jar, several caps popped open making a mess.  So I’m scared to vacuum the pill jars.  Ever had that happen to you?

never! interesting.  i vac them all the time.  make sure your pressing the fuck out of it.  check them to make sure they are fully clicked shut.

I just did some tonight and noticed they were not snapped completely shut, maybe that is the issue, thanks bro

I usually see a couple suicidal capsules when I vacuum seal them.  I’ve only seen it happen with gelatin based caps though.

I need to do this project so bad, I think
It might be vital. I basically can no longer tolerate the taste of shrooms even in tea anymore especially at the doses I require, so I need to capsulize. But capsulizing a 10-20gram dose takes forever manually.

I think this is one project my uncoordinated, clutzy ass must undertake. I will owe you one if I can manage to put it together Beef :laugh:

brother its so easy.  i can do 100 pills (which is about an ounce) in probably less than 5 minutes.

I was about to start trying to do that one pill project where you get a board of wood and drill capsule size holes to hold your pills while you load em but this looks a thousand times better lol

can you explain this a bit better?

size 0 = .35grams of mushrooms possible to fill with- or .35g including the capsule weight?

Appreciate all the awesome advice, thanks! I was wondering, how’d you do the Tetsuo pills? I can only find aqua vegan and red gelatin. Would doing half and half be a problem? I could do red and blue gel or clear red and aqua vegan, but, and this might be silly, I really wanna get the color accuracy 😂
