looking good so far, how much longer do you think?  I've only had one other cake harvest so far but the mushrooms were small and skinny and nothing like these.

They'll blow up in size over the next 3-5 days and be ready for harvest.

Sonic's "I'll buy a pressure cooker someday" Instant Pot times and settings:
  • Popping Corn Rapid Re-hydration - Half fill all containers with corn. Empty into Instant Pot. Cover with water. Run 30 minutes on PC. Release, remove, dry.
  • Wheat/Rye Berry Soak Re-hydration - Half fill all containers with grain. Empty in pot with water. Soak for 6-12 hours, air dry until surface is completely dry.
  • Grain Jar Sterilization - Run 2 - 2.5 hrs on PC
  • PastyPlates, MEA Formulation- Run 45 minutes on PC
  • LME Liquid Culture - Run 45 minutes on PC

I have five shoeboxes going too!  A couple look fully colonized but I'm just now researching what it means to put it into fruiting conditions...

Also, the big mushroom is starting to hit the lid of the SGFC, what do you do when that happens?

It appears to be looking right...of course if you flip the cake the other way it would be looking left :awegroove:

I'm kidding...actually there is just a fine amount of mycelium holding onto the pin so it would appear to be suspended, but I assure you its still attached

I just picked the ones which had broken veils.  Leaving the rest until the morning when I assume I can fully harvest and then dunk for a second flush.
