I have 12 jars, that all got contams my first time trying. i was wondering if it would be ok to save myself some time and money re-using these jars if i cleaned them out and filled them with new substrate. has anyone ever done this with success?

Are you for real? Why wouldn't one be able to clean out their jars at home. Were yours packaged sterile or something?

I just wash them out with soap and water and let them drip dry. If there is anything on or in the jars that is a contaminant the next time I use them, it gets killed by the sterilization proccess.
