Looks like on the backside of your patch, there's a downward slope leading to the patch, you may get a lot of water in there after a t-stotm. I would have tried to make a raised bed, your pit may turn into a swimming pool.

If they can grow in the Canadian prairies under 20% rh, without any greenhouses and humidifiers, they can grow in Colorado.

Florida doesn't even normally have 90% humidity. It's usually around 70%. Cubes don't even have cracked caps until under 50%. People seem to think we need high humidity. That's not the case at all. They grow just fine under 50%, just get some cracked caps is all.
