ID Request - West Auckland, NZ

Habitat:
In a heavily woodchipped area near some flax and other plants

Gills:
A beige/light brown kind of colour, but they have darkened a lot since (see picture where they've dried a bit)

Stem:
Quite robust and thick whitish stems

Cap:
A light brown/faded brown, dried out kind of brown (in the semi-dried picture)

Spore print color:
I haven't spore printed them

Bruising:
Blueish bruising to my eye on pretty much every one of them

Other information:
I noticed that when I took pictures under artificial light, you couldn't see the bruising well, so I took some the next day under a natural light after they'd dried a little. When trying to carefully cut some of the larger ones that were very close to the ground, I didn't realise that a few small ones were under them so I accidentally cut some pins by mistake

Psilocybe subaeruginosa would be my pick!! Make sure they all bruise blue.

It's interesting because some of the stems were thinner, also some of the caps were different shapes. But I guess they can vary like that?

The ones in the first two pics look like manky old Psilocybe subaeruginosa, but some of the ones down the first column, and the tree small ones on the second row look almost beyond recognition, and I wouldn't feel comfortable giving a 100% positive ID on those. All the ones in the last three pics are definitely Psilocybe subaeruginosa.

Thanks for your reply Duggstar. They are actually the same in all of the pictures. I just started drying them a little in the first two. So I guess they are all subs based on the last three pics. Thank you very much :smile:
