I've managed to get some really good mycelium growth in Rye grain with some Subaeruginosa spores.im a little unsure what to do next, whether to do indoor or outdoor from Here.
Any suggestions??

Indoor is a long slow, and generally unfruitful.

My suggestion,
Find some decent sized hardwood chips, poplar, oak, gum, etc (you can make you own with a tomahawk and a piece of fire wood.)
Soak for 12 hours, starting with kettle boiled water is good for penetration and knockback.
Drip dry for an hour or so. Chips won’t hold excess water.
Put a single layer of chips on the bottom of a tub/aquarium/pot/planter.
Cover chips in a thin layer of colonised rye.
Cover rye in another thin layer of soaked chips. And cover with a lid that allows air in and out (GE)
Wait a week or 2 until the myc starts climbing, and covers 50-60% of the top surfaces.
Add another single chip layer.
Rinse and repeat untill you have more colonised chips that you need.
Share them with all your friends. Tell them to grow their own bloody phungarse.
Make an outdoor bed, and wait 6-18 months.

It seems that P.sub prefer being layered than continually disturbed.
Once the myc starts running, shit son, it moves son!

Is there a particular reason you recommend hardwood chips? I've seen a few different tests where people've tried multiple things out and eucalyptus and pine seem to come out as leaders a lot of the time.

As was said by Bobbit, indoor is difficult. You'd essentially be pioneering new techniques. Some very few people have had a bit of success but if you're just looking for fruits, outdoor and waiting for the season seems to be your best bet.

...cube spores? :megusta: Do keep us updated on this. Seems like few to no people have them. I've been putting out feelers for spores but haven't been brave enough to get them in from overseas hah.

Hard wood is easy and requires no prep. Apparently, Fresh pine will kill your myc unless you soak in CaCO3 or similar to lower the pH and help deal with the turpenes. If you have pine chip that has been in the sun and rain for a few weeks, they should be sweet. . .
I have had success with eucalypt and poplar without any additional work.

If anyone has success with pine please post here. I’m trying some that I have CaCO3’d at the moment with a slurry and will also try rye once colonised. I may try fresh pine also, to see what the fuss is about.

I thought Penis Envy required a culture syringe? If ya get those past customs, you got cojones mas grande.

Woodlovers love pine. Adjusting the PH increases colonization speed but straight pine in a pinch will work fine. Pine chip mulch is fanatastic as is.
Grains spawned to fresh pine shavings

Azurescens and subaeruginosa on pine shavings/paper pellets

Olive once ran a large project with tons of different substrates testing hardwoods and softwood. His pine tubs popped first.

I've currently got sub myc growing on a pinecone. It was soaked for a month prior though, with CaCO3 (which raises pH, to make it more alkaline, btw  )

That project of Olive's was A++, found that a couple of years back. Everyone else who's followed on from that just seems to have confirmed their work too, which is great!

I did get a sunbeam dehydrator for $15 today though... So that's nice!

I did see that it was 2nd hand, so I can understand why the item itself is a bit cheaper, but the shipping being so cheap is what blows my mind haha.

Hopefully it works great for you!

Currently testing the dehydrator on some apples, no issues so far. Seems to work at about 80°C. It's an older K-Tel KN128D.
