I'm doing some B+ with a new cake mix...

I just got done making some cakes for my B+. I used: 1/4 cup water, 1/4 brf, 1/4 verm, and 2/3 cup plain oatmeal. I'm just trying this out for fun and don't expect anything to be much different but who knows. I figured that the oatmeal will also help retain water like the verm but also add some nutrients to the cake. If anybody has any suggestions or questions let me know! I will keep you updated on the process of this project. I am going to inoc. tonight when I get home form work after my cakes cool down.

Well I would say that 1 thing for sure is that you didnt add enough water.,1/4 cup of verm,1/4 cup of BRF and 2/3 cup of oatmeal is way too much dry ingrediants for only a 1/4 cup of water.
Since the standard recipe is 1/2 cup verm,1/4 cup BRF,and 1/4 cup of water you dont have enough moisture.
I have no idea of what kind of success youll have,however a better recipe would be :
1/4 cup of verm,1/4 cup of BRF,1/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of oatmeal.This way its just substituting some verm for the oatmeal,but your not adding xtra dry ingrediants.
Again I have no idea whether your project will work,anmd i wish you luck,but regardless of the recipe without enough moisture,your cake will stall,if it colonizes at all.

my recipe for my golden teachers was 2/3 cup verm, 1/4 cup brf and 1/4 water and they turned out great.

Yeah but you are adding more dry ingredents to the whole overall thing now.

oops lol, I added wrong hehe  :frown: well I guess i'll have to add some more somehow. well only one of the jars is like that, the other jar I mixed the oatmeal and verm together to equal out 2/3, the other one is the 1/2 oat and 1/4 verm.  :shake:
