mixed strains of mycelium

hi folks...
a Q here for more experienced growers (i haven't actually had harvestable carpophores since like 1980...):

say somebody had a couple dozen jars of various grains (black popcorn, yellow popcorn, spelt, & a few sorta combo-dealies, including a couple with sunflower seeds added) & all jars nicely filling with pretty white fuzz... (no signs of contams) --->
should the ummm 4 (?) different strains of Ps cubensis be "birthed" into totally seperate fruiting containers, or would it be OK (or even good, for "hybrid vigor") to plop them all into the same aquarium (or plastic "stuff" container, whatever), or is it best to keep the strains seperate...
~
also:
with moistened perlite (dil. H2O2) on the bottom of container --- should the cakes be put right onto the perlite, or should aluminum foil, or paper or cardboard, or plastic, be layered between the perlite & the cakes?

& the cakes just plopped outa the jars, or sorta crumbled up?

& (sterilized) casing put right on 'em right away, or wait a few days...

~
sorry for the "simple" Qs, but it has been a couple decades, hehheh...

It wont matter if you put different strains of cakes in the same terrerium, I would put toothpicks in the top of the cakes and label them what strain they are. Dont put your cakes directly on the perlite because it will suck up the water and they will get soggy. When I did cakes I would put them on folded up aluminum foil, but I heard that the reflected light could make your mushrooms grow down.
