Eh it was more like 360 for the filter and 200 for the fan and like 80 for parts, I exaggerate, and yeah I ain’t tripping, it’s a fun hobby I care about so I’m gonna reach  my goal and most likely just get this flow 24 model by air science and call it a day.

I respect you willin' to drop whatever amount of dough for what you're passionate about. You are blessed financially. I'd like you to message me one day when you have everything set up and rock'n and rollin. My poor ass comparing what you have spent a bunch of money on will be very informational and my strongest passion is learning.

oh for sure! You are golden if you've got filtered air going in and it exhausting no problem. Looks like you have good exhaust so as long as you're filtered on the intake then spot on.

Hey..!  Go for it..
Lay a few agar dish around on your work surface for a hour and see If It turns green in the next few days..
Don't worry If airflow is too strong. You can always choke it down at the blower intake..

I think your fine by the look of the picture..
Your out of excuses..LoL. Time to get to work...
Job well done...

Yep, open some dishes in front of the hood for 3 seconds, 5 10 and 30, to see if anything pops up...

I was thinking you could also dial it back with a potentiometer(sp) switch or basically a dimmer switch dont buy a new one make the one you built work.

Someone should build flowhoods for a reasonable price. I got lucky and got one that was gently used but I'm already dreading the day I got to change the filter/build a bigger one. I don't even own a drill or saw lol. Good job op sounds like you got her working.

No, Bad idea...
The way to reduce airflow is by blocking off the intake of the blower. That will even lower power consumption.
Any kind of dimmer could do damage to the motor. some motor controllers are resisters with heat sinks to dissipate  the heat from the resister. So your not really saving energy.
Duck tape and cardboard or small sheet metal will work.
Also tape a prefilter to the air intake. It could help in high airflow..

Fair enough. Sounds like you know whay you are talking about and I dont lol Do they maybe make a filter that could be used as a prefiler with a higher static pressure. In the book im reading now I believe it said most prefilters are around 0.2 SP. So higher should dial it back some right.

you can just stack them. Or block off part of the prefilter with a sheet of cardboard laying on it.

A prefilter is not going to make that much difference on airflow, but a prefilter is necessary. Even if It's ugly having prefilter duck tape on your blower It's a must If you care about the life of your filter.
