Give it a little bottom water If you can. Spray the surface, close the lid and smile...

Stick a clean toothpick in and wait 15min. Take it out and if it is dark\wet its good. If it comes out dry it is dry. Works for checking moisture in everything.

but I can't exactly leave for 3 days though? right?

Tried to bottom water,    thinking I am just making a mess.

Next time, I am going to tape  ALL  of the  holes.  I suspect it got enough air just through the lid gaps.

That's a good idea. I'll give that a try.

Congratulations on your first post..

The pins are everywhere (or IMHO) everywhere.

My black tray bin,  is 100% colonized,  it's partner, is only 80+

I have begun  fanning.
at this point,  I do not need wet sub, right,  just  spray the sides.

now,  now I wait and see,  if it would have made it till sat night.

If I pick anything before sat night. I will know i made the right choice.

You can spray the sub, if it's a little dry it needs a misting. But enough to glisten. The sides will take care of themselves from the humidity. If I switch tops and throw a tub on to dubtub I'll miss that to kick start the humidity, I don't know if it works but it makes me feel better. But, definitely mist the sub if it needs it

Well,  I should be more excited.  but coming to a few realizations.
Namely, paying  $100 an OZ  is not exactly outrageous.

The Realization as to how significant 93% water is,  And how many it takes to get an OZ.

A little Humbled

I learned a lot, and a lot that I will make different choices next time.

I ran  18 .75 quarts.  (12 quart)
I run 2 mono
4 black trays,

All said and done.
I think nearly  2 oz.

So folks,    lets get a pool going.

I ran  Open air  corn to oats.    1 jar to  9 jars.
I ran,  my busted ass  LC  to oats. reusing the syringe.

Place your bets.  How big a disaster.

Soooo, I felt it was done,    or nearly done.
picked the last of the tiny babies that were never going to amount to anything.

And I floated it fir 3 hours.

Obsolete tek am I right?

Submerge, / dunk  cakes,    but float bulk  sub,    right?

or did I dun bugger it?

Either way,  in 10-14 days,  I will need the bins.

so,  I am sure I am doing a lot of something wrong.

I am not so much getting a "flush"  and this steady flow.
I am getting  like 20 grams wet,  EVERY DAY
for a week now.

Caps are now    with white circles.
caps  partial opening,    sticking.
wavy caps.
just generally deformed mushrooms.

I just left them be, waiting for my next spawn to be ready,  and the stuff just keeps poping up.

I got one wave of them  that were so small it was a joke to dry dem.  (they looked like liberty caps,  even though they were GT)

and now I have deformed caps. partially opened caps,    caps opening on under developed mushrooms,  just generally strange shit.

Seriously disabled compared to what I started with.
Also finding that the stems are...  fuzzier.  so to speak.
