I cant believe Trump is doing a Military Parade for Fouth of July with actual tanks driving in the streets. I love tanks but what is this, Russia/North Korea? It just seems silly to do for the US.

I don’t think trump has given federal workers a four day weekend, sometimes that is done when a major holiday falls on a Tuesday or Thursday. The fact that people will have to work on Friday will cut down on attendance. It can take hours to get out of the city after the fireworks on the fourth.

The 2.5 million "is a tiny fraction of the costs". I guess there is no way to really quantify the military costs.

The regular taxpayer paid fireworks are socialist, but the trump taxpayer paid fireworks are free.

What trump is doing is beneath the dignity of the United States. It’s also completely corrupt. He’s using taxpayer funds to pay for an event where he is giving VIP treatment to his supporters and donors. There have NEVER been tickets needed get on the mall for the fireworks. People around here are pissed off. Not to mention all this happened at the last minute. It’s a farce. We don’t know which bridges will be open. Which flights are cancelled. Its totally half assed.

People are always pissed off. Especially isn a 90% Democrat town like DC.
