 trays below perlite in sgfc

sup ppl just got back from a bus. trip and i had left a friend in charge of the 1 tray i have going at the moment and i came back to find he had placed the tray in my sgfc as i asked but placed it inside the perlite with like an inch sticking out and while i laughed my ass off cuz he didnt know anything about growing what so ever and at the same time i never even thought of that before cuz i actually started thinking since its a 4 inch tall tray that my surface is now actually closer to the perlite has anyone ever done this before cuz i was just wondering about if it will help the surface moisture at all ?? any thoughts???

It'll work just fine, no problems. If I needed to put a tray in my humidity chamber I would do the same.
