Anywhere from 55 f to 85 f will grow cincts. Low end is better. Too hot and the myc stalls out and dies. Too cold and it just stalls.
70 f seem perfect

Roger that, thank you both! Hopefully it won't be too long before I have stones and then prints to pass on. Swabbing a jar with my wild Cinct has been done, then hopefully we'll have yet another variety.
Very happy to be a part of this!

No, the jars were just taken out to get a better view of them. The jars sit inside a glass aquarium turned on it's side with the opening sealed with pvc drop cloth. The micropore tape would not be okay by itself...

Got mine on agar, waiting for a few transfers and knocking up a half dozen jars. I'm quitting all cube grows but APE and concentrating on Stone producers and cyans.

My two little myco quarts are colonizing pretty good. So I guess now I just wait until October?

What I got on agar moves sooooo slow and seem to stall at some point I mean at least I know they are clean or it wouldn’t be moving this slow but dang it just won’t move

It's clean. It doesn't like to colonize to the end of the plate. The fluffy myc does but not the normal stone myc. Should start looking like cottage cheese.

Wbs inoculated 10/8 shook 20/8 and recovering. There's a couple of bits to keep an eye on. I'm hoping these are the start of stones

So guys out of my first Pan. Cinctulus "Whitehall" culture, I did 2 transfers of 2 different colonies. One was clean and showed no sign of contam the other was pushing out metabolites and had a wispy white mold colonizing around one side so I cut from the furthest edge on that one. Should be some days before I see anything but I will keep everyone updated 🤙

So what is the consensus on when we should harvest our jars?
Mine are about a month old and I can see some substantial nuggets in there. Pictures never do it justice.
I have 2 jars. I'm thinking of sacrificing one in 2 months for the sake of the community project. Sound good?

Are you going to spawn it, see if you can get them to grow in the sub?

Not sure yet. I am planning on making a couple poo cakes to see if I can get fruits but that isn't with this run.

From what I have read in various places, Pan. Cinct will fruit under similar conditions as cubes and supposedly the pf tek works. I forget where but I have also read that they will grow on sterilized grass seed.

I keep forgetting about grass seed. I've a whole box of it. I might sterilize some up for my next jar of cincts.
Might be a bit tricky to hydrate though
