I've had my tea come out or turn blue a few times, sometimes it has a distinct green-blue color. (this is with ps cyanescens and ps allenii)

I don't know what variable is at play that makes it come out blue sometimes....?...I know the blue bruising of psilocybin mushrooms is "said" to be the psilocin oxidising, but I've also heard that it's not actually the oxidation of psilocin and it might be some sort of enzyme/reaction going on.

Maybe high concentrations of psilocin specifically cause tea to turn blue?



One time there was a small amount of tea left at the bottom of a cup, the cup was sitting out for a few hours after I initially drank it/dosed....around the end of the trip I glanced at the cup and saw that the little bit of tea that was left in the bottom had turned a striking beautiful blue color, even though the brew was initially a golden/brown color.

Other times...the tea has come out blue shortly after brewing.

But most of the time my tea is a clear golden/brown color. I almost always use a little lemon juice when I make my tea, so perhaps the few times I didn't use lemon juice are the times my tea turned blue (I know lemon juice can keep certain foods from changing color/oxidising, like lemon juice on apple slices will prevent them from turning brown).
