So easy a caveman can do it
You will need - syringes and needles - distilled water - shot glass/cup - spore print - preferably a SAB or flowhood
Procedure
1. Boil distilled water and aspirate through your syringe 3-5 times then allow to cool to room temperature
2. Prep your SAB by putting supplies inside and spraying with soap and water then allowing to settle for 10 minutes or so (soap to water ratio doesnt matter to much I usually use a 2 second squirt of soap to roughly a quart of water)

3. Inside of SAB open your spore print and scrape off roughly 1/10th of the print into your shot glass/cup (I find it easiest to hold the foil flat and place the needle like shown in picture 2 below and then gently scrape back and forth then just lift up the foil and dump the spores into the shot glass)



4. Take your syringe full of distilled water from step 1 (now cooled to room temperature) and squirt the syringe into the cup containing the spores

5. Suck the spore solution back into the syringe and squirt it into the cup again (repeat 1-3 times)
6. Suck the spore solution into your syringe one last time and then store it/use it
Ands that's how I do it
Second method
Supplies needed - spore print - syringe and needle - plastic bag - distilled water
Procedure
1. Boil distilled water and aspirate through your syringe 3-5 times then allow to cool to room temperature

3. Take your bag containing your print in it (assuming the spores are printed directly in the plastic bag) or scrape some spore into the bag (around 1/10th of a print) and then inject your syringe of distilled water into the bag
4. Swirl the water around in the bag and suck it into the syringe
5. Use the syringe or store it for later
Terrible way to make a syringe i think but it works
Printing methods
Supplies needed
- fresh mature mushrooms - plastic bags - scissors/knife
Procedure
- cut the stem off the mushrooms
- place the caps inside the plastic and close the bag
- wait 24-48 hours
- open the bag and the remove the cap, the spores should have been deposited in the bag
- use the print or store it for later
Method 2
Supplies needed
- fresh mature mushrooms - scissors/knife - aluminum foil - plastic cups
Procedure
1. Cut the aluminum foil into small squares slightly bigger then the size of the caps
2. Bake the aluminum foil at the highest possible setting (around 500 degrees in my oven) for 20-30 minutes then allow to cool underneath a plastic cup
3. (Once foil squares are cooled down) Remove the stem from the cap of the mushroom
4. Place one mushroom cap gills side down on each square of foil and cover with a cup

5. Allow to sit for 24-48 hours
6. Remove the cap and place the cups back over the spore print
7. Wait 12-24 hours (usually the prints have some condensation on them so this period of time allows them to dry)

8. Fold up your prints and store them/use them
Bonus teks!
Proper Spore print folding tek
- Take your square of aluminum foil with a spore print on it and fold it in half length wise or width wise (should be a rectangle now)
- cut a square of foil about 2-3 times the size of the folded spore print
- place the folded spore print inside the bigger square of foil and fold one side of the bigger piece of foil over to make another rectangle
- fold each of the 3 open sides over a small amount and crease them to seal the spore print inside
Storing prints and syringes
- for long term storage place your prints/syringes inside of a fresh Ziploc bag
- place the bag containing the prints/syringes inside of a refrigerator
They will store for multiple years this way

Procedure: 1. PC distilled water, 30-45 min at 15-20 psi (15-20 min is probably fine, but why risk it?). Make sure magnetic stir bar or similar is added and the jar is free of small debris or old grain bits or whatever (or else you might make a low nutrient LC!) I usually do ~450-500 mL at a time in a quart jar. My jar lids have 1/4" hole covered with EZ-felt and another 1/4" diameter hole plugged with silicone. Let cool to room temp.
2. Turn on hood and collect materials.
3. Iso spray the lid of the water container and loosen completely.
4. Iso scalpel handle and flame tip.
5. Open spore print, scrape print with a scalpel and dump spores into PCed water. It can be helpful to "cut" up the spores into smaller clumps, especially if they are fresh and you do not have a magnetic stir bar/plate.

6. Close lid of container *CAREFULLY* bring to stir plate. Reduce the number of waves as spores can adhere to the edges of the container and not make it into solution.
7. Spin on stir plate for 10-120 minutes. Start slow and then increase RPM once the spores are collected inside the whirlpool. Do not exceed RPM where the vortex reaches the stir bar and causes bubbles, spore clumps can adhere to the side of the container instead of going into solution.

8. Once well homogenized, bring jar back to hood and turn on.
9. Iso the silicone port and let dry ~2-4 minutes. Iso a second time and let dry some.
10. Attach sterile needle to a sterile syringe, pierce the silicone completely so all of the needle is in the container I use a 16g needle that is 3 or 4" long. I PC them wrapped in foil, and do not flame before piercing the silicone.

11. Swirl container to mix and homogenize spores and draw solution into the syringe.
12. Un wrap the next sterile syringe, remove the filled syringe and then replace empty syringe onto the needle (still inserted in the container). Keep the syringe pointed towards the air flow and add a syringe cap (sterilized beforehand).

13. Repeat steps 11-12 until all syringes are filled.

I can try and add some more photos later or possibly vids of the filling process, but this is a good start for people even moderately familiar with mycology.
Should be doable in a SAB (never used one) and can be done under flame (I've used a bunsen burner as a source of a sterile field in the past with success). Magnetic stir plate is nice, but some glass marbles and physical agitation should be sufficient. Just be sure to watch out for clumps sticking to the side of the glass.
Don't need a print, just happy to share! If there is want or interest, I'll make a separate post with the protocol and add the photos etc.
Spore print low key tek- Using gloves and facemask: Rip alum foil from roll about the width of the hand X number needed/3 Cut strips into blocks of 3 Using scalpel and gloves, cut stem at base of gills while gently holding cap outer perimeter. Place on foil square, place drop of water on top of cap, cover with glass- I use shot glasses, drinking glasses, tea mugs, champagne flutes- the smaller the volume the better for humidity retention.
Leave 8-24 hours. Transfer cap to new foil square (stab top with a scalpel), add water drop. - fold print in half (open about 20-30 deg) and place on surface that is elevated (I use lid of an old SGFC). Stack all prints and cover with large glass bowl, shoebox etc. Leave 8-24 H. Fold dried print on long edge and 2 short sides to make a package. Repeat procedure as above- I can usually get 2-3 prints per cap.

First you need a spore print, If you don't have your own you can obtain spores from a vendor(see the sticky posts), or trading(in the marketplace also see sticky posts), or by making your own Making your own spore print TEK
and you will need a spore syringe
 I like to re-use ones I've gotten along the way. They work until they don't, it's that simple. the rubber wears out they're bad they last a long time though.
You also need a still air box. My Still Air Box TEK or a flow hood
One spore print can make many syringes See this post for more information on that Necessary reading on spores
Spore prints are not axenic(google this word if you don't know). Spore syringes are therefore not axenic. Do not panic about doing everything perfect. The shear amount of spores to contaminants will make sure you have an easy time using your syringe on PF cakes or on agar. Of course the more care you take the better quality you syringe will be, just don't go overboard.
Let's Get Started before you start get your SAB ready, smoke a bowl, get your music shit figured out, and get your shot glass prepared. Take a shot and also sterilize a shot glass. I actually like to use a little dish because it's more spacious for doing multiple syringes in bulk or even just one syringe.


You can sterilize your shotglass/dish wrapped in foil in the oven https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_heat_sterilization or also wrapped in foil in a pressure cooker at 15psi for 15 minutes.
once you have all this set
Boil some water on the stove. I use a skillet because it's faster

take your syringe and aspirate boiling water at least 3 times and squirt it out into your sink (not back into the pan!)
 on second to last time I like to put the needle cap over the needle and squirt boiling water out of it to sterilize it as well. then fill the syringe again and put the cap on to keep the needle sterile. This way you can avoid using a torch for the entire process to sterilize the needle tip later.
Alternatively you could pressure cook your syringes to sterilize (15m at 15psi wrapped in foil) them but the boiling water method is sufficient and leaves them full of sterile water

put your syringe in the SAB and let it cool down for at least an hour (10cc syringes cool quickly bigger ones will take longer) or do this step the day before and let it cool down overnight.
once everything is cool and wont burn your spores proceed.
unwrap your print and hold it over your glass


squirting a few drops at a time and being extremely gentle with the needle tip dislodge spores into the shot glass.

aspirate spore water
once you get down to the last bits crinkle the foil so your glass is tilted (shot glasses need not do this step)


now you have a full syringe(or more)

Easier than a caveman way
you don't really need to sterilize a shot glass or dish

you can use the print as a dish, but I feel better using the sterilized dish to make syringes.

You can't buy a spore syringe for potency. A spore syringe from me is just as good as one you can make yourself. Potency is 100% related to your own skill doing culture work or pure luck.
Anything but spores of actives are illegal. So we cannot trade out cultures. If active mushrooms were legal they actually would sell strains. Vendors call varieties(names on a syringe) strains as a marketing strategy aimed at people who don't do any research first.
Spores don't know their variety. Any Psilocybe cubensis spore will mate with any other Psilocybe cubensis spore that has a compatible mating type.
When you grow from spores any two spores that successfully mate create a strain
A strain is not the same as a variety
When you grow from spores you have 100s if not 1000s of strains working together as a single organism. You may choose any variety of psilocybe cubensis. Some strains will be weak some strong. When you grow from spores you get a mixed bag. If you have a B+ or GT syringe you could do 10 different grows and each would have different results.
If you want to get uniform results with consistent potency you need to keep good strains around by cloning or isolating and using agar. Spores will give you basically random results regardless of the variety you choose. Strains Varieties and Species
Don't worry too much about which variety of psilocybe cubensis to pick. Chose one with a name you like and go with it. You'll be able to trade spores later. Mushrooms make their own spores so you never really need to buy more. Making a spore print is easier than it seems. Most noobs avoid making spore prints for whatever reason, you will need to learn this skill. The best way to learn is to start somewhere and make mistakes. Don't put all your eggs in one basket so that a mistake becomes horribly detrimental.

Meaning that individual spores are not self-fertile and require mating with another spore to form a diploid individual. Tetrapolar means that the initial diploid, dikaryon germ cell undergoes meiosis twice to form 4 haploid spores. Bi-factorial means that there are two mating factors involved, which gives rise to 4 possible mating types from each individual.
There has been some confusion surrounding hetero vs homothallic. In botany heterothallic is usually used to mean that the sexual structures occur in different plants. In other types of biology it usually means that the sexual organs simply reside in separate structures, meaning that no individual structure is self-fertile. So the meaning depends on what kingdom and species you are talking about. That's why there has been some confusion.
