Ok second go around, first jars were bunk,
2 media bottle diluted grainwater LCs with Josex poke 4 baby food jar grainwater LCs with agar scrape

The media bottles are the most watered down, the baby food jars are all different strengths, haven't noticed much difference. The white balance was off during pictures they aren't that dark really! Any comments or criticisms?

Ok mushboy, I have done all kinds of experiments here and...I'm back to high nutes. 5g LME per 500ml. Yeah, there's sediment and the photo ops aren't as nice, but it just grows out quicker.
And when everything is settled, there is still a clarity of the broth that lets me know it's all working out.
Don't hate me!

Anyone have tried agave nectar LC? I found this.

Gretchenmeister said: Fuck yes it's my new favorite. The stuff I made last night looks "darker" than the first batch I made.
I did liquid SITR, malt, and Light agave, the agave performed as well as the malt..which is my favorite, and had ZERO sediment. My grains colonized nicely and the bulk trays I fruited performed as I expect from this monoculture.
The first batch I did by eyeballing, and I used very little..just enough to tinge the water slightly yellow. Last night I used varied percentages and a different brand of Light Agave. Nocced up today with Chitwan and Burma. We will see how it does this time. Hope it does good cuz I only did one malt of each. But yes based on my last trial of agave it rocks.

Normally, when I find something that works well I just stick with it LME works so well I don't feel the need to experiment. The only exception I have found is zapotecorum. I've tried twice to make an LC with it and it just doesn't respond.

I tried in this thread and get results of discussion but no pics. I streaked mine last night and am looking for a rough time frame for growth

"LC test on agar"

Those pics were probably at two days. I can't remember. I know that i can usually be fairly certain of cleanliness/ filthiness at 2 or 3 days. Apparently i don't have any pictures of test plates a little farther along. This is surprising. Oh well.
@Edmunter, In my experience, a quick but not stingy free pour splurge drops about 15 cc, give or take 5 in either direction. I don't really trip on it though. I'd just make up as many bags as you want to fruit and stretch it across them.

I need numbers!
What ratio LME to water?
I've heard anything from 2g to 5g per 500ml...
I thought agar was supposed to be 10%? Is it different with lcs?

2% not 10...... Usually 10 grams
So if you want a 2% nutes LC add 10g of lme to 500ml
I went lower and it worked for me.
Does anyone lC2LC

No each LC gets it's own wedge. Going lc2lc just sounds like a bad idea..

So if you had a tested lc and you want to go to grains, why not add a little to another jar of nute? I mean you need to test it anyway and mine would be in front of a hood. It might shit the bed but it seems like a good idea, less vectors than dropping a wedge.....reason to try....mushrooms
