I've been getting more curious about vegetarian stuff myself. They always provide food at my new job and the vegetables they cook are just out of this world, i have no clue what they could possibly do to the broccoli to make it that good. It always comes second to the meat by far.

I never understood why most vegetarians seem to cut out meat entirely. I'm under the impression that the whole point of vegetarianism is to reduce the overall amount of meat being purchased by the population. So like if you're in a scenario where the meat is already there and being offered to you, there's no reason not to eat it. Just don't buy any yourself.

That seems to be how the Dali Lama is. If he is served meat he will eat it.

I don't know how popular this idea is, but I know there are some amount of vegetarians/vegans that come at it from a moral angle. The idea that it's immoral to eat another conscious animal. Kinda like if you thought it was wrong to eat dogs, you may not eat one that's already cooked.

And here's a good interview from the author.

Some ppl look at eating animals as the same thing as eating people. Flesh is flesh.

I confess. My next purchase of grain is gonna be oats. Im gonna give them another shot. Tired of the mess wbs makes. Or the mess I make with wbs rather. Lol

Eating dogs is fucked up. They are so loyal to humans.
You gotta be a sick fuck to eat a dog... And I honestly don't think they would taste very good.

These days ive been eating less red meat and more chicken and fish. I feel way better the eating red meat all the time.
Sometimes me and my girl go days without eating meat. We eat a lot of organic vegetables and fruit in-between our big meals.

Vegetarians are ok but never trust a vegan.

I'll transition from saying I'm considering going vegetarian to saying I would eat dog meat, I don't see the big difference between it and farm animals. Farm animals are just as smart and awesome pets.

I'd also eat human meat if given the opportunity  maybe I'm fucked in the head

I've been a vegetarian for a large part of my life. Not a thing wrong with it. But here are some cold hard facts....

Farms are the opposite of China.

You EAT the excess males. You only need one rooster for 20 hens and one bull for 25 cows, one buck for 50 does. And birth rates are about 50/50 male/female. Even in a sustainable farming style, this is just the way it goes. To refuse to eat them is refusing their honor and their importance to providing life to others.

To have no feeling or regard for that sacrifice and aspect of life is to deny the interconnectedness of every thing sentient and loving.

Also, veganism is a serious issue as it can seriously harm mental health in most people. A few people do alright with veganism, but they are almost all A blood types and solid on blood profiles for nutrients.

Dairy, by no fault of it's own, results in too many males. So they become meat.

If you don't consume eggs or milk, it becomes highly likely that you will become deficient in cholesterol and basically become...well...Nuts.

So, minimal is good on meat. Especially if it's through the industrial meat complex.

In our home, I pray over every animal that we kill and intend to consume. And I kill them. And it freaking hurts. It should hurt.

We don't eat store bought meat. So all of our food, except for grain, is recognized for it's sacrifice. When you realize that even plants have feelings, food becomes much more sacred.

There are many types of flesh that are NOT food. Human is among them.

Synchronicity: my gf and I just had this discussion... don't buy anymore meat, but don't give it up entirely either... we've got a fuckton of chickens, thus eggs... many of which are sterile and would rot anyways... I think fish might fly occasionally,  but we're officially going vegetarian at the house

I confess, this just blew me away: the power of music

Just fried up some chicken quarters and made a sweet n spicy buffalo bourbon sauce for em. Grits with carrots and roasted garlic, as well as some cheesy mixed veg.

What if we modify our livestock to experience no more than a vegetable?

If we go all out on GMO livestock we can save huge tracts of land by growing meat in multistory buildings which would remove the need to transport the products as these facilities can be maintained anywhere.

I confess I’m o - and was a vegan for two years, working a job as a kayak guide paddeling 6 miles throwing 8 kayaks on and off the trailer, rworking almost everyday. I will tell ya all . You can be vegan take high quality protein sup, hemp seed, spitilina chlorella. Eat Whole Foods...minimal amounts of grain more root crops to be full. you will feel pretty good... but I got too skinny, Now I eat chicken, and occasionally  fish, it’s a shame our Pacific Ocean is so radioactive... I do feel I want to become vegan again... eggs are ok but yesterday I cracked a Rotten one strait into my breakfast stir fry... farm fresh ain’t always

I also confess I let a bunch of spawn jars fruit and they were regular mouth and all the condensation on the neck is ruining my fruits. Though not to sad about it.
