Does anyone know what kind of mushrooms these are? 1st species: I found them on a horse ranch amongst the poop. Yellowish white skin with ivory colored stalk. fins are white but the underside of the cap is brown (pics 1 & 2). 2nd species: Golden Brown, concave cap. large cap. Short stalk. fins portude a lot.

oh okay you fixed it, they aren't active (as in make you trip) but if you get me a spore sprint color, i can make a pretty good guess as to what they are.

Try doing research on a mushroom called panaeolus subbalteatus, it grows on and near horse dung.

i think quite frankly, that hose are poisonous. are the second bunch he same ones? they look like mature galerinas. the first bunch could easily be immature specimines of the same. hey could also be an agrocybe if he print is earthy as opposed to orange. in the case of the latter color, i would say easily deadly. so be careful, dont eat

I think the orange ones may be different species.... but I am a complete newbie. The orange ones I found pretty much on an old horse pattie, and the whiter ones were like 2 feet from the orange ones but next to thorn bushes, stingy nettles, and some other brush with horse manure...

ill help ya, post em! stable shavings compost heaps overgrown with weeds (like ragweed and sow whistle) they provide shade and keep he humidity high longer. i find the best spos are overgrown stable shaving heaps, but only for horses and cows. pretty damn easy to find if you dont waste time looking anywhere else for shrooms this time of year
a few days afer rain, sucessive rainy days are also a good sign. my rule: go picking as soon as the puddles dry and the weather is warm.
but if you wanna get to them freshest and before the worms have the best of them, go when its sunny, but its wet enough that youre still going to get soaked up to your crotch in the tall grass.
