Seriously WTF why is wrong with Empire Market not connecting (darkW)

always down or unable to connect. Is this just me? The ratings are 4.9/5 and for it to be down this much doesn't seem right! Anyone have any idea before I blow a gasket.

I wonder if LE can use ddos to somehow map a tor circuit and locate the admins. The attacks often start a few months before a market gets seized  :strokebeard:

Oh im sure of it!

Military technology is very advanced. They can probably track all kinds of things, if they wanted to. Edward Snowden left the US because he apparently found out the government was spying on Americans illegally. Wouldnt surprize me if the government/military had advanced cyber-tracking technology.

The attacks are on all market sites and vendor pages, along with ransom demands from the attacker/s. It's a known flaw being exploited that the tor team has got on their bug list. They assure us that they are working on fixing it.

Reversing an encrypted connection without a private key is still mathematically unfeasible.

Probably not worth it financially, spending $1000s and many hours hunting down piddly amounts of drugs that may or may not have been used already. Better off using those resources to catch bigger fish.

It has happened though. But I believe they were just doing it to make an example to scare people off. People get busted buying on the streets far more often.

Its not impossible but no, I dont think they would.

You should really use PGP though. Its simple as fuck and takes like a few second to do.

I think in most of those cases they just stumbled upon the buyers through shitty packaging at USPS or UPS locations.

That's only attacking the crypto though, all you have to do is google "darknet deanonimization" and you'll have a bunch of articles and research papers on the topic.

They haven't busted a majority of shroomery users, which wouldn't be hard judging by how bad some people's opsec is. Some people have pictures of local parks in their galleries, pictures of their faces, that thread a couple of days ago about what buses look like could possibly be used to determine what state/city you live in.

So it's probably not worth it for them to go after non-violent users, however, watch what you post online guys!

Thing is, we are the drug users not the drug suppliers. There could be some drug dealers here, but likely not many. Mostly drug users here i would assume.

Because we are the small end (not suppliers or distributors), the Feds are not really concerned.

Breaking the anonymization and seeing the content of the connection is a huge distinction. Just being able to see one is connecting to a site means very little without a lot of extra work. It's just extremely limited metadata. Good tech for hunting pedos though. Hope they Pokemon those fuckers.

You're right, the only reason they'd attempt to see what you're connecting to is if you're under investigation already.

I am so frustrated. I loaded decent amount of coin onto empire. It worked fine all day. Then bam you can't get the main link to work or the fucking mirrors to work. I do no think this is DDOS and if it is it's not the fucking government. They rather go after Dream or some shit. Now I wish I just went with Dream because I've spent hours trying to connect. Using several different countries, onion VPN's, even US connections.

Vendors on there have thousands of sales. WTF is going on? How are they logging on and doing business when I can't even get to the main fucking page. Ughhh my frustration has grown exponentially after I loaded coin and seemingly can't connect anymore.

I know it isn't an exit scam by no means but whatever the fuck is up is super annoying. Even the forum doesn't work for me.

Can anyone else log on to Empire Market Place???? If this is my connection itself then fuck...

Dream is closed man, they shut shop because of the ddos.

Sometimes one can't get on Empire for 12 hours, then there's a new link or the main mirror comes up for a day.

It's ddos. I'd put my money on it. I very much doubt it's LE when it comes to that kind of intermittant service.

It used to happen to Dream a lot too, and I'm sure as shit that weren't LE.

Get links from dark.fail

All the good markets put up new mirror links multiple times a day to counter the DDOS. Don't use anywhere else or you'll probably get phished. You can verify with their PGP key by viewing a signed message. Type /safe at the end of every empire URL you get and verify the signature against their PGP key.

I've been able to place orders and even got on to finalize one I received today. Haven't had an issue reaching any marketplace except for some slow loading times :shrug:

I think your being a little paranoid many of us are open about what city and state we live in. That bus thread has nothing to do with trying to find out where you live.

Well fuck there goes my free subscriptions I ordered. They had 24 hour limits. Who the fuck is DDOS’ng...other trash markets. I remember AlphaBay had anti ddos why the fuck not these.

It's a vulnerability in tor itself, it cannot be stopped. Tor team knows and its being looked at, active bug thread on developers site.

I don't know bud, after reading a few posts on how internet criminals are busted on krebs on security and seeing what bellingcat can do with so little, I try and be careful with that type of shit. Then again, I'm not running a darknet market or distributing anything :shrug:
