First Nice Pair of Headphones HD650 * 1

Had some shitty over-priced $300 Beats 'Pro' way back that I got for Christmas. Besides those shitters I've never had expensive headphones. Splurged and picked up the HD650\6xx with an E10K Amp.

I might go deaf soon. What a difference! I hear individual instruments and notes, even with the bass boost on it's all so clear. I guess these are considered pretty neutral headphones? I've been using them for Music and Gaming so far so good. Long ass Cable though.

What headphones are you using, or have you used? Thoughts on HD650? I know a lot of you freaks are into a variety of Music so I can only assume you know way more than me. I'm just hearing this for a first time.

I have the wireless Sennheister Momentum which are my daily use cans. Also have a pair of Audio Technica ATH M50s. I've owned more earbuds than I remember but currently have a pair of Jaybird Wireless.

Ya I bought the athM50x this year too, they're decent. I don't know if I prefer them over my Sony mdr-xb950 though. I keep reading that headphones need an amp or they really don't do much at all, so that's what I need to invest in next

I have SteelSeries Siberia v2 (orange). I've also had from SteelSeries blue and black siberia, 5hv2, 4h.

And razer barracuda

Hd650 are pretty solid man its a good choice. I wouldn't go too much higher then that in terms of upgrades as the value for money drops off steeply after that. The only thing id say is do some research on your amp , and it's pairing with the hd650. You want to make sure you are pairing with an amp that is driving them to their full capacity. Like check the power requirements of the hd650 and the output of your amp. Usually Google will see reviews of people using the two ,or looking for what amps are recommended etc.

But yeah 650 is a staple headphone. Has been around for a long time and for a reason


The ath m50 the other guy mentioned are great too.

I've got a heap of headphones myself. I love good sound and good music :cool:

I've spent enough on audio equipemnt.
Headphones especially.

The best value for money and pretty good performance for most genres imo is shure se215. Also extremely durable and very good isolation.

I use HD650s for my drum kit. Sennheisers have been my go to since 16 even the cheaper pairs give you an awesome audio experience.

Nice!
I bought a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-880 Pro headphones for mastering last year and they sound incredible!
I can hear so much more clearly and they're very comfortable on my head.
I also bought an amp for it: FiiO Olympus 2.

No sir! One bedroom apt in the middle of ATL. When I go to my friends studio we get to use these super immersive noise cancelling ones. For 3 guitars and a drum kit the sound doesn't leak as much as I thought it would.

I've got a pair of the HD-6xx as well, they're not bad!

But unfortunately they spend their time in the case without much love.

I use a pair of Presonus HD7s.
They sound really good for how cheap they were.

Have had a pair of Sony 7506's for years. They are not for everyone as they are intended to be a reference headphone so the sound is very flat but they are great for audio work.

I have a subpac s2 @twighead. Awesome piece of audio equipment.

Nice headphones OP. I bet they were expensive. I have a pair of Sony MDR DJ headphones. The sound quality is pretty great. Not epic as yours but it does the trick. Isnt vinyl audio awesome? :awesome:
