They are all strains of psilocybe cubensis. Most cultivation related discussion you will see here is related to that species.

The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

THe Latin name for this species is Psilocybe Cubensis. That is Genus and species. Just like we humans are homo sapiens. Whether you're from Africa, Sweden, or China, you're still homo sapien. Different races, same species. See?

I think they were lookin' for a latin strain name. Like psilocybe cubensis + something latin instead of psilocybe cubensis B+. But to my knowledge, no such taxonomy exists.

B+, Golden Teacher, Blue Meanies, Creepers, they are all slang breed names, Genus is Psilocybe, Species is Cubensis, breed is any of the ones you see commonly on the board. If you are talking about cyanescens or azurescens or some other species, that's a different story, however I believe you are referring to the cubensis species and associate breeds.

There are no Latin names for them.  They're ALL P. Cubensis.  They are usually named after the area where they were found, (e.g. Amazon, Panama, Hawaiian, Ecuador, Texan, Pink Buffalo, Koh Samui) and some just have novelty names (e.g B+, Penis Envy, Z, F+). In the case of PF, he did develop some strain, shortly before he was busted, that had a red spore print:
http://www.erowid.org/plants/mushrooms/mushrooms_mycology1.shtml

I don't know if this is being distributed yet, or not.  PF, I believe, just sent one strain out while he was neding spores, and everybody just accepted that as the "PF strain".  Some say that it was an Amazonian strain though (meaning P. Cubensis which was found in the Amazon).  Do you get it now?  The only Latin name which they have is Psilocybe Cubensis.
