I have grown before using PFTEK, and it turned out good. Last time I used Thai Super Strain from THE (the hawks eye), and this time I ordered PC. Equador from THE. This time they all look shrived up, and deadish. Whats going on? how do I fix this?

Air exchanges such as taking off the lid and fanning it out once or twice a day. Just wonder, did you fan at all? Don't throw the cakes away, they are fine, it's just their owner...

i'd at least scrap that FLUSH... Try cleaning up the cakes, and try for another flush with the same cakes, and more air exchanges. you really have nothing more to lose at this point. Start up a second batch of jars, while you're waiting for those to fruit again.

Is airexchange important It makes a whole lot of difference.
The whole reason I came up with the Poorman's Pod was to take care of problems like this.
Here is a grow using a Poorman's Pod. Cakes in a pod
The whole reason the pod works.
The fundamental principal behind using air entrainment is to sufficiently mix the two (fresh air and stale air) together and then re-distribute them back into the environment in a more balanced way that is then more beneficial to the mushroom crop. Without this sufficient mixing of the gasses present within the grow space, the crops will remain stunted and will likely never reach their optimum potential. With the poormans pod, the settling co2 air is met and diffused by a curtain of fresh air rising from beneath the Geo-lite surface. This rising flow of air is created from the air diffuser rod situated below the Geo-lite surface, which is powered by the air pump. The rising air pattern not only prohibits the heavier co2 air from settling down onto the bottom surface as usual but it also simultaneously diffuses the co2 with fresh air as it is distributed back into the environment or grow space where it can be put to good use. In this way, the poor mans pod creates the same desired phenomenon as offered by more conventional means of air entrainment found in much larger-scale commercial applications where a mixing box is commonly used to accomplish this important task.

Why would he do that?they arent contamed they just didnt get enough fresh air.As long as there is no contams they are perfectly fine.
Just make sure you check them and your cakes real well for anything out of the ordinary, but those should be fine.Ugly shrooms doesnt always mean bad shrooms.Just make sure you start fanning,at least 2 or 3 times a day and youll be fine.they are growing good and your getting plenty of pins, just need better air exchange.Good luck

Yeah, what he said! They might not win any beautyshroom contest ,but they will probably be just fine. With some good ole' air exchange the next flush should do much butter! I mean "better". Damn that sqash is makin' me hungry! On the funky lookin shrooms remember; What is pleasing to the eye,and what is pleasing to the mind are not always the same thing! MYKEY
