ID Request please - are they subs? Location Mt Macedon (North of Melbourne) Victoria AUS

Hi :smile:

First time hunter and hoping these are subs but having some trouble as doesn't seem to bruise blue on the stems and super confused about the colour of the spore print as it just looks brown to me? Also one of them has a small like crump on the stem?



Habitat:
Found in grass on the edge of a pine plantation 600mt above sea level Mt Macedon VIC Aus

Gills:
Brown gills

Stem:
longest is 10cm long, 0.5cm thick, feels woody. White but not going blue.

Cap:
biggest is 5cm

Spore print color:
really looks brown

Bruising:
hard to say, just looks brownish

They're surely Psilocybe sp. and I'd guess P. subaeruginosa just because that's most likely. There's very clear blue bruising around the margin of the caps. The brown/black bruising on the stems is interesting tho. Chocolate-brown sporeprints like those are something that subs do have sometimes.

Wait for others to confirm.
