Keep seeing conflicted info. Just want a solid answer. Some say 60-70 Is best. Some say 70-80. Warmer=faster? Just trying to educate myself further. Sealed bag with gas exchange patch and self healing injection port. I want to prevent contams like any NOOB. I have always gotten useful advice from the people here

Warmer for colonizing, cooler for fruiting.

Anything above 83 degrees Fahrenheit
Also to answer your first question about colonizing spawn depends what species of mushrooms your attempting to grow but if cubes room temperature 73-79 degrees Fahrenheit is suitable

Keep all your spawn and fruiting temps between 68-80 degrees Fahrenheit and you can't go wrong as far as temps.

Tubs could build up heat during colonizing.. I like to use 2x4" blocks for spacers under my tubs for air circulation.

There is a greenhouse effect I. Your spawn bags. The temps inside them are ~5F higher than external temps.
81F is pretty wildly considered the ideal internal temp for many nonexotic species of mushrooms including cubes, oyster of several species, shiitake, and many more. so the external temps that is ideal is 76F.
For my gourmets I have my controller in my incubation cabinet set to 76F with a 3F swing.

I tried to take some better pics. All I see is white growth. That's a good thing I thought. They are 12 days inoculated with 6ccs of Golden Teacher from Ralphster's

It looks okayish. Might be some bacterial present or it might just be a little wet. Looks good enough to have high hopes for it!
