ID Request. Possible sub?
    #26008485 - 05/23/19 01:52 AM (4 years, 10 months ago)

    * Habitat: Wood chips, with leaf matter and bushes around. Facing east
    * Location: Melbourne, Australia
    * Gills: Creamy to brown. Had siginificant dark blue/cyan patches on it.
    * Stem: Thick but not sturdy, could squish. Bruised dark brown to black.
    * Spore print: Darkish, didnt get big one but looked close to black/dark
    * Scent: I would say tea leaves.
    * Bruising: Dark Blue to Black. Had cyan blue parts in the top of stem. When pinched would turn dark brown to black over time.

I would like to know what the significant blue spot at the top of the cap is. Is it bruising or spores? The photos dont do justice how blue it was.
Cap was about 1.5cm wide. Stem 2.5cm long. Decided to pick as they were starting to dry out, but will recheck the other ones nearby after cold wet period coming up next week.
If anyone needs better photos just ask, I know some are blurry. In the 4th photo the pinch on stem was because it got squashed accidently.

Thanks

Well focussed photos under natural light will greatly improve your chances of an ID!

It kinda looks like one. The staining looks kinda odd, like ink was poured on it. What really throws me off is the stem though, stems can have mottling but that looks a bit different and i dont really see staining on the stem.

Wait for more opinions.

I agree with this, it seems the colour is being affected by some strange light or filter. Although they do look like subs shape-wise. It's hard to say colour-wise, imo.

I don't think I'd chuck it just yet. Get us some better photos and we can say yay or nay. It's quite possible you do have a sub there.
