Can someone help me ID this Nebraska Shroom? (Possible psych)
    #26007752 -

This patch was found in Eastern Nebraska near downed treelimbs and brush. On one side of the sample found was railroad tracks and on the other side was a lake (both approx. 10-15 yards away)

Nipple shaped cap that is cinnamon/tan.

Gills are about the same color.some of the groups gills are lighter (more white) than others.

Stem has no skirt under cap, and are white closer to the gills and get more brown as you move down the stem.

Experienced no bruising.

I should also add I found the the first day after a series of 3 continuous days of rain.

How sure are you of this? Would it be a recommended option to get a spore print to distinct? I've read that Inocybes tend to have brown spores while potential pans have jet black (panelaeolus seems to be another option for an ID?) thanks so much!

What makes it an inocybe? I looked it up and see that it's a very large sp.

A good way to learn more about the genus Inocybe and how to distinguish them is to check the following:

Was researching tonight and read up a lot on liberty caps. Any chance these could be immature liberties or not at all?

The main reason I ask being that they look somewhat similar but mainly the common location people seem to find them fit my finding placeperfectly.
