finally some pins on my GT cake...

There is finally some pins on my second GT cake. The only problem is i'm not sure if it's got contam or not. I pulled the cake out and put it in my chamber once but had to make some changes so I put it back in the jar after a few days. I think the mushy stuff on top is where there were a couple of pins that got squished when I put it back in the jar. I'm going to let it fruit anyways because it's the first time i've grown shrooms before. *** not gonna eat them though *** which sucks but i'll get over it. I just pulled the cake out of the jar and it looks like it's got some contam but i'm not sure, when i opened up the jar it kinda smelled like those mushrooms you get on your hogie or somethin, but the cake smelled mushy like it should when I pulled it out. There are some blue spots on the side but that just seems to be bruising to me. My question is, if I let it fruit and get a print from the shrooms will it affect anything if it is contaminated? I'm new to this so I have no idea, but i'm thinking it might if it renders the shrooms chemical makeup. Thanks!!

what is a way I can tell? Because the black stuff smells like mushrooms you would get on a pizza or something. I dunno if the q-tip trick would work in this situation would it? I dunno if it's pretty but thanks anyway lol.

You need to put that cake outside, and let mother nature take care of it. I heard if you ask real nice she might put in a little extra magic for you.

I have it isolated from my other cake, they have never come in contact or even been in the same area so the other cake I have is ok. This cake just needs a little TLC, but after I cut out the bad spot, and it doesn't come back I could still use the spores from the mature mushies to make a print and put in a syringe without any threat from bacteria? I'm still not certain if I would want to eat them even after the spot is gone because it has already started to pin and i'm worried that the network may be contaminated. Also, after checking the cake this evening the black seems to be fading into a blue color, probably because of the moisture drop?

well the blue is just bruising, I cut out the bad spot on top and brushed it very well with H2O2. It is bruising around the edge of my cut, and the pins on the cake seem to be doing just fine. It may be worth eating in the end after all!

i have a sony digital mavica, It used to be my dads for work and it was refurbished when they got it. Maybe cost around 300 bucks? but that was about 4 years ago. It takes pictures and puts them on a 3 1/2 in. floppy disc.

Mavicas shouldnt cost more then 150 anymore. Unless you getting the mini cdr one....
The floppy mavicas suck. The 2 megapixel one... can take like 2 pics on each disk, did i mention slow write time??? They where really cool when they first came out but, eh i wouldnt get one now.
