Boiling some WBS before I head out, will have my gf monitor the PC.

:grossman:
like a rapid boil? Wont that make for a big mess?

Does this answer your question? Hamloaf’s WBS Tek is all I’ve ever used. Also use bod’s oat Tek.

Ah nice, ive just seen ppl say not to boil, shoulda looked into it more
I use foomans wbs tek
Thanks for the link, good to know!

If you want it done faster try hamloafs tek. You can get one of the long heat thermometers for around $8 at Walmart. You’re welcome

Have you ever tried foos? That’s all I’ve ever done but I’m going to try this one you linked next. Do they get enough moisture just during that five minutes and the time that they’re waiting to come up to temp? I guess they do

I haven’t tried foos.. if something works for me I usually don’t stray far from it. I’m just impatient to wait that long lol. They do retain enough moisture except for using them as spawn. I’ve noticed I had to re-soak my wbs spawn for 10min because my boxes would dry out. I use the wbs jars for my masters, and oats for my spawn now.

Yeah Foos is just twenty minutes so not that much longer but I’m going to give this a try.

When you say re-soak  how do you do that? Just dunk your broken up spawn for ten minutes right before spawning? Or you resoak before PC?

I used Frank’s bulk spawning Tek. There’s a part in there where he Soaks the spawn before adding it to bulk.

Awesome thank you for the link! I just enjoy trying new things. I do love WBS to oats though it’s crazy fast.

Sure is! Gives you more inoculation points because the WBS is so tiny and spreads well through the oats.

Nice RW’s Quirk!

In Hebrew, the words "wine" and "secret" hold the same numerologic value. When wine comes in, secrets spill out. Do you think the person who said that knew mushrooms? When mushrooms come in... Is there anything beyond a secret?

Boogie, I'm down to about 2.75qts to a brick, and STILL seems too wet for some cultures... though APE seems to do better with 3(ish)... still nowhere near figuring them out, but they're thirsty AF! Other varieties, like my PE6, seems to push water out as it colonizes and I end up pouring off pools from the corners... seems to definitely be a sweet spot for each, too much or too little water gives tiny fruit... just an observation... I had a PE6 clone that was bad for it...produced canopies, but finicky AF! Let it go, search continues... may go back to MS for shits
