ID please

Hi guys, hope you can help with ID.

Habitat: New Zealand, Central North Island. Found among felled pine trees, dead/rotting wood, overgrown grass, damp soil.

Gills:
Orange-cream colour, attached - adnexed or adnate.

Stem:
Length between 30-50mm, diameter 2-4mm, color white with some orange/brown.

Cap:
Diameter 10-30mm, colour orange centre with lighter orange sometimes white rim, bell shaped or conical

Spore print color: Brown. Certainly not dark brown or violet

Bruising:
Seems to lose its orange colour and go light brown/almost white. No blue!

Pretty sure they’re Galerina marginata. :death:

The resemblence is but a superficial one, perhaps comparable to the sometimes perceived similarity between liberty caps and Conocybe apala.

The main danger with these lie in the fact that they might be mingling closely with woodloving Psilocybe species, thus
careless and greedy hunters might get them mixed in with their active collection. Carefully checking each mushroom before
it goes in the bag is the best way to prevent a mix up and a possible following poisoning.

Just be sure to take your time and double check your finds, if ever in doubt, throw them out. Even experienced hunters have accidentally poisoned themselves by getting in a hurry. Personally,  I check in the field and again when cleaning,  never just assume it is okay.

Edit: I've been picking cubensis for over 33yrs now and I still toss any I'm not sure about when I am cleaning them, even if I was certain when I picked them.

Yeah that 3rd pic from 20 feet away would get somebody excited lol till ya got close its those cap shapes.
