Playing baseball ⚾

Do you guys play? Even catch?

I played a lot on teams when I was young. I still play, but it's either catch or old fart baseball in the fall when the fields are empty.

We used to play pickup games with 4-10 people and ghost runners. Twas good times.

I was playing with my dad's old glove and it's like a thin piece of leather to cushion the hand. But it scoops balls like a champ.

I want to like baseball, played it a lot as a kid. The idea of a pickup game is nice.

Then I remember the heat, the scratchy pants, the dust filming everything and general malaise of practice, then all the other kids who were so much cooler and manlier than I. Sunflower seeds never tasted that good, and when one of the dads sprung for a bucket of double bubble it only made you thirstier after about 30 seconds.

But I will say something about slinging that heavy orb around, the smack of it deep in the glove, the crack of a good hit on the bat (oh glorious rare occasion) is satisfying.



Hey let's talk about Trump. Is your signature a joke? If not, what are some things he's done as president that you wish to see continue for another four years?

I must admit the complete bullshit that was the 2016 election has encouraged me to take a firm abstinence from politics, so I'm just here checking in. I'm completely unfamiliar with anything Trump has done during his presidency, and am taking steps to abolish my ignorance, so maybe list off a couple of your favorites, which I'll verify and expand upon later.

But I'm realizing more and more that the President doesn't really do fuck all anyway. It's almost like some kind of gimmick, two celebrities racing for most influential man? Please. Even if he does make changes, we're talking about marginal differences that won't effect the course of any one person's life, not truly.

So who amid all of these universal cosmic ponderings of nature and the way Things work has time to worry about the president of the united states anyway?
