I’m most of the way through the third season of the Santa Clarita Diet. It’s held up better than I expected. Shows like that get in this cycle of constantly having to up the ante- the characters get into a wacky scenario, use a wacky solution, and that creates more zaniness. On and on until the show is so outlandish that it’s hard to enjoy. Santa Clarita Diet doesn’t avoid this trap, and the show will probably start to suck in a season or two (like what happened with Ash vs Evil Dead, or Weeds), but for now the dialogue and acting is enough to prop it up. I’m not through season 3 yet, maybe it falls apart, idk. I think the smart thing to do would be to find a way to end the whole show by season 4 and call it a good run.

Yep. Except it wasn't starving. He just wanted to see if he could take one out real quick with his 92 year old bare hands between takes. One of the camera crew fuckers filmed it low key and then it made the final edit.
Attenborough still got it man, he fucked that polar bear up bad. PETA was pissed but he publicly apologized so they were like okay cool just don't do it again.
Came here to see if anyone was watching our planet and lmfao at this. It's great, idk how many series hes made now but they never get repetitive. I'm only on the 1st episode but already said out loud more aww's and oh no's to myself than I'll openly admit to. I thought the mannequin birds doing their dances to get some bird hole was fantastic. Haven't got to the polar bear wrestling yet but I'm sure it'll be just as good.

Once Upon a Time in America (1984)
Sergio Leone’s final film before he passed. De Niro plays the main character. It’s a gangster flick I haven’t seen yet and it’s 4 hours long.

After Life - with Ricky Gervais.
I really liked that. He writes some of the most heartwarming stuff and it's very real. There are also lots of funny and tragic moments. I am not an emotional person nor do I cry much at all, but I sure felt like it a lot. I hope I never have to feel it, but losing someone you love more than anything and trying to make sense of the world and your life after that happens is probably the hardest thing in life to do.

I just finished "Black Summer." It was decent. Lots of plot holes, but they created an environment of suspense that was pretty good.

Netflix is trash. Grand Tour is a good show on Prime. That's about all I can stand to watch.
I watch Start Trek Discovery but both season 1 and 2 were garbage.

I don't find it very Star Trek like but it's growing on me somewhat. My brother in law was just telling me recently that a friend of his does set design for the show.

Watched the Adderall Diaries yesterday. With Franco and Redford was one of the executive producers. Redford is just a genuine good human being and sees humanity and the things he supports like independent film being in Park City a good number of times and the environment.
Like the late Newman some people in life just make everything better just by being themselves. And going to Sundance the resort in Utah County, was so cool this stature before going on a trail on it in the Summer where this is this amazing Native American statue before one goes that wasn't done on the cheap and got the vibe of nature.
But to the movie. New York would be interesting to live in. Just to crowded and dirty for my taste but I love the different cultures and freedoms there. This has to do mainly with a father son relationship and of course drug abuse. Also memory and how one remembers their family relationships. I love shows based on books because it usually creates greater insight on life as good literature can do and they usually include some of the best lines in them. The show just resonates with my own youth.
I think many on the shroomery can relate. Just a good show for those that aren't into only CGI movies and talking robots that can turn into cars and such. Or a thousand superhero's taking on a thousand villians. You might have to listen to some people talk and relationships without all this fake cgi garbage going on for.....the dooomer generation. Lol.
Also watched that Ted Bundy movie. I attended the U of U. Not during that time but I get why my mom read the book after they fried him and gave me scant details. I mean this on a almost Dahmer type level when one gets the details. Wow.

I have watched this 3 times now. The skit with Fred Willard as the replacement organist at the funeral is amongst the best things I’ve ever seen

Just finished Haunting of Hill House
I kinda thought some of it bordered on corny but it still entertained me for the most part
Probably going to start season 2 of Ozark soon
I'm also watching episodes of Chef's Table here and there
It's no Parts Unknown or No Reservations but if you're a foodie it's a food porn fix

"Probably going to start season 2 of Ozark soon".
I would highly recommend it. Bateman is quite amusing in many of the roles he takes and saw the 2nd season quite quickly when it came out.
Finishing up on the last episode of Ash vs. the Evil Dead. Just ordered HBO as I have seen everything I want to on Netflix. God I love streaming. The old days sucked in that regard, having to wait.
