**OFFICIAL GULF COAST HUNTERS 2019**

That's it. I'm starting it. I went out all January and February to try and find the 'first shroom of the year' so I could start the thread. Well sometime in early feb I did find the first [official] shroom of the year, and never got around to creating the thread. I see nobody else has either, so dang it I'm starting it.



Post the pics of your favorite observations of our sacred mushrooms, or anything else you want, but lets keep it rich with pics here folks. I'll make a big post tomorrow of my year-to-date and update with subsequent observations. I hope I've sufficiently motivated my fellow gulf coastians and fellow texans to get out there and observe, and to document it here.

So let's make this one bigger than 2011 and Texians let's show up strong this year, Florida show us what you've got. Go forth, and remember to show respect to these ancient fields in doing so.

A couple of my early finds, these first of the year fruiting in 60F days and 40F nights and marked by gnarly features and heavy bruising :laugh:



It's been raining a lot here though, it's about time to get back out and see what the old field is up to.

Thanks! I'm guilty of neglecting all but the most aesthetically appealing/interesting ones. I've been meaning to do a post of my 2018 year in review, I was able to find some real neat looking ones, and some bigguns I think you guys will get a kick out of, though probably won't be entirely surprised by being from the Cube capitol of the world. Nonetheless!

Not a drop of rain since about May here in TX. How is everyone else faring?

Hopefully things will change with the recent tropical activity and fall setting in. Be safe over there Florida and east coast, hope the storm brushes by.
