Hi
If a pre-made grow box was inoculated with cubensis B+ would it be normal to see mycelium spread along the sides after about 3-4 weeks then after 7 weeks still cannot see mycelium along the top of the container and about 70% of the bottom of the container?
the temperature moves between 18 and 22 Celsius with an average of 20.
Is it normal that the mycelium can take longer than 7 weeks to fully establish in a box like this?
Much Appreciated guys!
Here's some pictures after exactly 7 weeks:

I think it looks OK but I'm a noob and it's taking longer than 3-5 weeks which was the given expected time

Pic would be nice. From your generic pic it just looks like a giant brf cake. The grains inside are probably brown rice flower mixed with vermiculite. Usually the top 1-3 cm on the top is a layer of vermiculite by itself. Vermiculite in itself has no nutrition and is meant to hold in moisture and filter nasty airbornes from contaminating it. The myc wouldn't nessicerily grow into it. With a cake that big 7 weeks is reasonable supposing you injected corectly. I wouldn't open it till you post a pic so the mushy gurus (I'm still noob) give there opinion. They are gonna need some good closeup pics if you want the best advice.

Looks suffocated but healthy.
I don't know anything about kits but I know those zipper looking things on the top of the lid are filters. If there are filters then why do the kit guys say to keep it in a taped up bag.

Yes looks like it wants air. It will still probably colonize fully if you wait it out. If it's time sensitive for you, keep everything shut and bagged. Flip it upside down and give it a sturdy knock down on a wood cutting board to create an air gap in the bottom. That may speed it up but will cause stress on the myc and may start early pinning. This would be a last resort thing for me though. Best to wait if you have that option lol. Gl

Thanks guys! I'll wait some more and monitor development. If anyone else wants to chime in it would be much appreciated!
p.s. the bag also has a filter on it

The temps you're running at are generally fine for cubes in jars and bags where you can bust them up and distribute the myc, but that's a big damn cake and the myc has a long way to travel. Turning the heat up a couple of degrees might help it to the finish line. Or just be painfully patient.

If that tub has some kinda filter for air exchange I'd open that bag up to exchange the inside air then close it back a brick like that probably run outta O2 in there before done. But I've never used kits so as long as there is daily progress you maybe ok.

Mines having slow growth too and same kind of temperature. I wonder if its how they prepare the kits for it?
