True those aren’t wide mouth but they’re one piece.

I am getting tired of my plastic ones warping. It’s not severe but enough to not screw on right.
It’s weird because they’ll fit on some jars just fine and others they won’t

How does the seal hold up? Is it gonna get stuck and then wrecked when opened like the 2 piece?

Made some agar transfers on Monday, it looks like the mycelium is now starting to creep off the wedge, but was thinking I should’ve seen more growth by now since it’s been about 3ish days. Maybe not? I’m using 2% agar with LME. Anything I can do to help them recover/grow faster.

no idea how well they'll hold up. i had the same thought about the seal material. i bet they'll last long enough to get their money's worth.

i feel like this has come about about six times in the last couple months. maybe we need an official jar lids thread. ...

That's the same situation I'm having. I found one piece metal lids on Amazon and I'm moving to those and bags.

I'm gonna try em out. The repeated motion tires one and wastes time if a better option is available. Removing a step can definitely increase time. Worth a shot

So last week I said I've been using the same scalpel blade for a couple years and
some people wanted to know if it was black and mangled. Well stareatclouds
was kind enough to send me a care package with a few fresh blades! Whoo! Being
lazy can pay off haha

Anyway here's a comparison between a really old and well used blade and a new one

Legit I feel like I've been through a lot with that blade. Hundreds of
plates and countless grows. All things must pass; Goodbye, old friend.
