Early signs of Trich?

Just wondering if this could be early signs of trich. Looks like it’s growing in a circular pattern... had a few tubs that didn’t make it to first flush because they got contaminated, which makes me think it might have been my spawn (strobes bag tek) even though I saw no signs when I spawned them into the tubs. I already separated this one from my others to see where it goes. Just looking for opinions.

I'd be very surprised if the spot in the second picture doesn't go green. I could be wrong but...

How old is that tub? It's a good idea to test shake your spawn if your new and not exactly sure how clean it is. Just let them finish up (or get really close to finishing), shake it up and watch it recover. It's not completely bullet proof but it weeds through a lot of shit. If it bounces back within a few days without doing anything strange (like turning green, black, orange, gooey) It's probably fine

~13 days now. It’s been cold so colonization has been going slower than normal. I could give the whole thing a good shake. Do you think I should try to scoop / cut that section out before doing that? It’s nearly 100% colonized at this point

NO NO NO! I'm talking about shaking spawn before spawning it to test it for health and cleanliness. If you've already lost the other tubs and they are all from the same inoculation... wait, what did you noc it up with. I'm not sure what bag tek you're talking about but.... anyways. That tub is most probably totally fucked. Just watch closely and see what happens over the next couple days.

If you see green before any pins form, it's best to throw them outside. If you pull off a pinset before any green shows up, there is still some hope. Just throw up another pic in a day or two and we'll tell ya what up.

Haha oh mannnnnn I totally misunderstood. I do shake the bags when they’re about 30% colonized to break up the myc and speed up the colonization (like shaking jars),  and again a few more times to ensure it’s 100% before I spawn them to tubs. Wish I had some pictures because they looked right as rain... just a single ‘block’ of bird seed covered in white myc. Here is the tek, super simple and easy to follow: Strobes bag tek

I’m not totally new to this, but these are the first problems I’ve had with contams. Pretty bummed as it’s just a hobby and I lost ~ a months worth of work (waiting). Don’t just have bags or tubs going all the time. I’m gonna bleach the hell out of the room and just buy new tubs for my next go.

As for noccing them up, I just use a super simple LC that’s water + corn syrup I microwave for 6 minutes then let cool before adding spores. It’s a sealed Tupperware container that I have a hole in the top with micropore tape. I still have all the LCs I could post pics of, but they look fine to me. I’m thinking it’s probably my sterile procedure somewhere along the line... probably when I put the spawn in the tubs... all this pales in comparison to me just not cleaning the tubs properly since my last grow. Could have been any number of things.. gonna chalk this up to a learning experience and be more careful next time. Still have 2 tubs that look fine that I separated from the others so keeping my fingers crossed.

Contams will happen. I went over a year without any
contams, super successful it was so hard not to bloat
and get cocky, then what do ya know. CONTAMED out the ass!
Practice that sterile technique. Smooth swift motions.
