You can just call Daenerys Ozymandias, Queen of Queens; Look on Her Works, ye Mighty, and despair!

The writing this season has been garbage. Jaime’s series long redemption arc, wasted. Dany’s decision to start murdering people, ham fisted. The villain of the series dies whimpering underground as a ceiling collapses. The disparity of accuracy of the scorpions between episodes.
The CGI dragon rampage was well done, apart from that the only good thing about this episode except the clegane bowl.

Just because you don’t like what happened doesn’t mean the writing is bad, misdirection has been a theme from the start.
I think the twins died perfectly and I don’t think that was a breach of character on danny’s part at all with what she did and I like her all the better now for doing it.
Things have been going downhill but after episode three I find the bandwagon’s become a witch hunt.

I'm actually enjoying the way they are going about wrapping everything up.

This whole season has been objectively bad writing. Subverting expectations doesn't make a narrative good in and of itself. Stupid scenes like last episode where Danni should have seen the ships, and where Cerci should have unloaded on Danni and her dragon well they stood outside the wall. They don't follow the GoT rules anymore

I agree with most of the above with the exception of Cersi being dead. She’s not getting off that easy. I hope.

THANK you!
The ending of the series feels very rushed, but I'm still enjoying it.
Also - I know NO Queen but the Queen in the North whose name is SANSA STARK!!! My favorite character since I read the books in 2011/2012, and one of the best game players left in Westeros. I hope Dany is dealt with before she can do anything to Tyrion, or any of the Starks.....
I wept like a baby during Jamie & Tyrion's goodbye.

I didn’t believe that they died that can’t be their end I’m expecting them to show up next episode and be killed properly not a building falling on them that just can’t be their end

Rome was a great show, but it disappointingly skipped every battle scene it built up to while GoT went head on with some of the best battle scenes ever made.
Rome kind of went too fast in the second season as well.

What misdirection? what Dany did wasn’t unexpected or out of character, they’ve been building to this for multiple seasons. But the writing this season has been extremely poor, it’s like they ran out of time. They should have had her attack as soon as Missandei was beheaded, at least that would make sense.
As far as the twins go, it completely ignored the prophecy that the show had been leading up to ever since they first divulge it (season 5 I think?). Jaime going back to Cersei wasn’t a surprise, again it was just done poorly.

Euron, Jaime, Cersei, the Mountain, and the Hound all die off screen. Extremely unsatisfying.

I'm not sure the Hounds and Mountains deaths really qualifies as off screen. I mean we saw them fall hundreds of feet into a ball of fire. And the battle between the two leading up to their deaths was pretty great.
I also liked the poetic justice of the Hound pushing his brother into fire since that's what the Mountain did to him when they were kids. Something that tormented him his entire life.

I completely agree with this. I've avoided reading opinions online, watching the post episode discussions, articles, etc. specifically so I can just watch it without any external bias and this whole season has been a big wtfbbq. It's too rushed. It's almost like HBO couldn't renew it for one more season after this for whatever reason and didn't give the writers enough time to actually properly end it so instead they are patchworking this whole thing together. There are suddenly major inconsistencies with the plot, characters going off the wagon with their core moral beliefs and structure (far beyond what would be realistic or even logical from a narrative standpoint) and a few moments where post should have stepped in and said 'you need to CGI that dragon farther away...
I did really enjoy the clegaine fight though. That was well done, made sense, stuck with the characters as they were intended and have been. We finally got to fully see the mountain post transformation and just how much of a monster he really was. I liked that it ended in fire as well. Even all the fire in the city couldn't keep the hound from his goal, something we've never really seen from him the entire show.
Mostly what I'm bothered by is the character transformations. You do not spend your entire life saving innocents and freeing slaves like Dani to just up and lose your shit in a few minutes of screen time. The whole idea that she suddenly turned all mad king angry because Jon thinks incest is weird and what not is dumb. If they wanted her to morally fall like this they should have started it WAAAAY earlier. It should have started last season and built up to it. They still could have easily made it work through all the other stuff going on in the show.
Jon at least is sticking with his character roles for the most part, though who knows on the final episode.
Jaime and Cersi were fine. I think the way they died was a bit too poetic and over done. It would have been a LOT better if Aria had found a reason to kill Jaime, wear his face, then kill the queen.
The battle scenes and CGI are amazing. The death and destruction was great. Really the main faults lie with the writing being too quick to tie up story lines and some of the choices they are making that are just off the rails.

God that hurt. It was so good, i was reeling for the rest of the episode.
I really liked this episode. Maybe a little rushed, but with the direction they've been heading, they did a good job. I enjoyed the subtle details like both Cleganes losing their left eye in the battle, or most scenes featuring Dany leading up to the massacre had flames in the background.
