For those that don't believe coir can contam on its own

That is coir that I bucket tekd a few days ago. Never opened it or anything after dumping in the water, it just sat cause I didn't have time to do it on thursday.
No idea what some of that even is. There's definitely green in there. Eco earth coir

I have also had coir contam pretty easy. I used it for my house plants at one point when I ran out of potting soil. 2 months later mold. I also left maybe half a shoeboxes worth in a shoebox tub last week until I could make up some more to go with it and it contaminated in 4 days (I was surprised at that one) but on the other hand I have any "extra" presto 23 at PC that needs a new seal that I store my coir in it after its pasteurized and it will stay good in there for months so I also store it in my old vermiculite bags (they have a zip lock at the top) and it stays good in there for months also... Its very weird

Some of it looks like snot but not too gooey. Fuggin gross though and kinda mad about it. I already spawned 8 tubs from the same batch on thursday so I really hope they dont kick the bucket on me.

I've found oven pasteurizing effective for this. It's faster if you have another brick and stick it in while the coir's still hot from hydrating. If you heat from cold it takes like 5 hours to ensure it's all up to temp long enough. That may be too infected at this point to just pasteurize away though?

Ya I've sterilized coir a few times but I don't know if this was in the coir or my pad so I feel like sterilizing it may make it susceptible again?
