We didn't use to have global markets. Nation's would conquer and colonize so they had resources for themself, and maybe distant trading partners. China was conquered for a century

no. my problem is that there are plenty of RESOURCES and WEALTH and TECHNOLOGY for every human. but it is grossly disproportionately shared. i dont think you or I can fix it single-handedly but i do think we as a country can do better for our US citizens and people abroad.
