K-1 is full contact martial arts. All stand-up styles allowed. No weight classes, no prolonged holds (they have to stand up), no elbows and only one knee to the head per lock. When there's a Grand Prix, it means it's a tournament. The guys in the final will most likely have done 5 matches each in that day.

Oh no, nothing like that. It's more refined, fair rules and referee.

I appreciate all forms of fighting, Im a big Boxing fan.....I wrestled in high school for 4 years and love wrestling!
But I have to say that the no holes bared stuff was really fun!
Guys would break bones, and all kinds of neat stuff!
The best was one time this bearlike guy (must have been 6'7") took on this little guy who was a Karate champ. The little guy jumps up and chops him in the fore head and the guy wobbles and goes down......I thought it was great!

Yeah that is a big bummer. Though most styles that are prominent in K-1 never even practice with elbows, ie Kickboxing. But wouldn't you know it... The top-10 K-1 fighters of the world are all Muay Thai fighters. So they're kind of crippled without their elbows, but that doesn't stop them. There's always Muay Thai championships and leagues from Thailand to watch though, for a little blood stained elbow action.

Ah that's neat. Hehe. Didn't know you were a fighter, Rip.
There's been some boxers and what not up in K-1... They've all had their heads kicked in so far. One funny match was this Sumo Wrestling Grand Champ up against some little Japanese kickboxer (or something)... The guy was more than 100 fucking kilograms off his size. But the fatass sure hit the ground, regardless.

We can check to see if we get a good speed. I have about 20 fighter highlight reels, 30 matches and 4 full championship tournaments, all K-1.
