Have you done Ramadan before?

I'm thinking about trying to do it. I've never done it before but i've been harbouring a bit of venom lately so i don't think it would hurt to do a little soul purification.
If you're a recent adoptee, what obstacles did you initially deal with. I presume it's easier each year as you learn ways to deal with the hunger ect.

I would say if you're harboring venom that starving yourself is a pretty bad idea. People tend to get even crankier when they're hungry.

Have you ever thought about taking up a rewarding hobby such as stamp collecting?

I didn't realsise the health beenifits that Ramadan had to offer to be honest and started after May 6th. Livinging in Australia, I've been utilising the US Ramadan schedule to make up for starting a day late, but it's been going good so far. I woke up at 12 AM one time and was a little hungry. Because i'm doing Ramadan on the US time zone, I decided that because it was Ramadan it wasn't appropriate to have a midnight snack. Best decision i've ever made.

I did not post these 'X's. To my understanding when Xs are post like this they represent kisses. You're losin' it, magent.  This religious stuff might make you slip even further over the edge though. I think you should probably pick up a hobby as mycosis suggested. Popsicle sticks are cheap, and the only limit is your imagination!

I would love to be the sort of person that could visit a muslim neighbour and break fast with them. Curently our daylight hours are between a Sunrise of 05:19 and a Sunset of 20:41 that's a long day for most of us to go without food.

The cultural significance to the people that practice this fasting, and the breaking of the fast is massivly important to them. Never mind the spiritual, the social ramifications of this routine is crucial to their perspective.

I’ll look at it as a reminder, and reminders can be good.  I can’t fault anyone sincerely on the path to getting “there”..

You won’t find God in abstaining from food though :shrug:.  I feel it important to point that out, obviously :hatsoff:
