After 2 Shoeboxes of GOLDEN TEACHERS, this is my final product! (Pics)
    #25976575 - 05/06/19 08:41 PM (4 years, 9 months ago)

So as a lot of you know I had 2 shoeboxes fruiting. Both were inoculated withing 2 days from another on 3/22/19 and 3/24/19.

The 1st one pinned first and it had one terrible yield. About 30ish grams of fresh mushrooms and dried is about 5 or 6 grams of my scales are correct.

1st SHOEBOX (1 bag worth)

The 2nd shoebox DID NOT have 1 pin until about 2 weeks or so after the 1st  shoebox fruited, believe it or not! I left this shoebox in particular onto of a radiator that is blasting heat and also gave it VERY minimal light as opposed to the 1st shoebox. And it fruited BEAUTIFULLY.

2nd SHOEBOX (2 bags worth)

So the 1st shoebox was given A LOT of light as well as FAE. NO MISTING OR FANNING.

The 2nd shoebox was given A LOT of heat, minimal light, kept mainly in dark, and a lot of FAE. NO MISTING OR FANNING.

LASTLY...

What is the best way to produce a 2nd flush? Should I just let it do its own thing and upkeep them the way I was? Or should soak the substrate in water?

THX!!!

Well it's not as bad as what he posted last time so it looks like our boy is learning.

Just a general thought I've had before: if you notice a piece of identifying info on someone, I recommend sending a PM and not posting it publicly. If there are folks who would use this for evil, it just highlights it for them and makes an otherwise unlikely scenario a bit more likely, IMO. I'd also avoid quoting anything that alludes to what it was as this just gives the potential evil-doers a bigger clue as to what they could dig for. Folks will often quote the offending piece of text, too, making it not only more obvious, but impossible for the OP to remove entirely.

I've noticed a few people leaving potentially usable information out before and PM'd them how to remove it. One of which was a user who has documented his large scale growing and I found his personal social accounts in a few seconds. I PM'd him, but never heard back. That one was shaky for me as I didn't to scare him, but felt it was necessary to give him a heads up. Anyway, just my $.02.

vinny,

If you think the sub is dry, dunk it. Misting heavily works as well. And lots of subs don't need it for the 2nd flush anyway. Shoeboxes dry out quicker than full-size, so use your best judgement.

Don't store those fruits in open-air like that, by the way. Ziploc bags are porous and take in air which has moisture in it. Put them in a mason jar or something. Also if using Ziplocs for short-term storage, it helps to suck the air out with a straw when you're closing it.
