Its for humidity. Nobody uses them anymore, I don't think. If you're using perlite/geolite, there's really no reason to have one at all.

I don't think you'd have any reason for it. That is "old school" shroom growing ya are talking about there. No need for it, just don't get the mist bottle very close to your little children and you should be fine.

Well speaking as an old skooler, I would user it in a small terrarium so that the mist gets dispersed better......in a larger unit you can insure that you don't mist directly onto the cakes by just directing it away.
